My research explores how digital technologies and AI are shaping the diverse, place-based relationships that communities have with their land, water, and ecosystems. For this, I work with Indigenous, rural (campesino) and urban communities in Chile and Colombia. I have also written on topics including digital sovereignty and scientific data colonialism.
Outside academia, I collaborate regularly with media outlets, NGOs, and various organisations in Europe, Latin America, and elsewhere. I have delivered keynotes at both academic and non-academic conferences, including talks at international organisations such as UN Human Rights and UNCTAD.
